April's Petal Recommendations

Favorite Dinner & Live Music Spot: The Roadhouse Restaurant The Roadhouse isn’t just one of my Petal favorites — 98% of nearly 300 Facebook reviewers recommend it too! The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with great décor, friendly service, and live music offered on select nights. The menu has something for just about every taste, from a perfectly cooked steak to fish and plenty in between. Whether you’re looking for a good dinner out or a fun evening with live music, The Roadhouse is a Petal spot worth trying.

Favorite Sweet Surprise: Petal DonutsDon’t let the name fool you — Petal Donuts is about much more than doughnuts. Yes, the doughnuts are delicious and the service is friendly, but you never quite know what else you might find. From kale soup to beautiful gourmet cookies and plenty in between, it’s one of those uniquely local spots that keeps things interesting. It’s a fun Petal favorite for a sweet treat, a quick bite, or an unexpected find.

Favorite Italian Spot: Nona’s Italian Restaurant— Nona’s has the kind of warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels like gathering around the table with a big Italian family. The menu is full of classic Italian comfort foods, from pasta and chicken parmigiana to seafood dishes, pizza, and more. The owner often makes a point to stop by the table and check on your experience, which adds to that personal, neighborhood-restaurant feel. It’s a great choice when you want a relaxed meal, generous portions, and genuine hospitality.

Favorite Fall Tradition: Three Sisters Farm Three Sisters Farm is one of my favorite places to enjoy fall in Petal. Their pumpkin patch is a fun seasonal outing with plenty of activities and a great selection of pumpkins for carving, decorating, or just bringing a little fall home with you. They also offer event space for birthday parties, celebrations, and other special occasions, and some of their larger events include food vendors and additional activities. It’s one of those local places that really adds to the small-town charm of Petal and gives people something fun to look forward to each season.
